New thermal Retransfer technology card printer Avansia introduce by evolis to print on PVC, PET and polycarbonate card with over edge printing.
03/Sep/2014

On-demand card printer Evolis is introducing AVANSIA in Bali, Indonesia (2014) conference, a new printer loaded with all the latest retransfer technology. With the retransfer system on AVANSIA, “card printing is performed in two steps”, says Evolis. “First, the card layout is printed through thermal transfer; then the print layer is transferred from the film to the card.” And, says Evolis, the entire surface of the card comes out “crystal clear with text, microprints and watermarks in 600 dpi resolution.”

how does retransfer technoloogy work?

The card is printed in two phases:

1. The card design is printed by dye sublimation on a transparent film.

2. The printed film is then fused to the card using a thermal bonding process for flawless results.

3. The build in flattener applies pressure on the card, thus ensuring a perfectly flat surface.

The technology means it is possible to print on any card profile (including PVC, PET and ) at a fast rate of 140 single-sided colour cards per hour.

Evolis Avansia now available in Malaysia and Singapore.
