The main difference between TC21 and TC26 is TC21 is ideal to be used in the four wall environment where the communication is using WiFI to transfer data back to the server host. And TC26 comes with a SIM card slot module where you may use WiFi or cellular 3G/4G signal to transfer data back to the server.
To choose the correct part number for your selected zebra TC21 model can be a complicated job if you do not have the correct ideal on barcode technologies as well as mobile computer technologies. Especially for the top leading barcode manufacturers, every part number offered by Zebra carries a different purpose and objective based on the market requirements.

Region where you are, for China please select part number end with CN and for india please select part number end with IA. For Malaysia and Singapore, please select part number end with A6.
After selecting the region, the next consideration you need to make is the barcode scanner option, TC21 and TC26 come with the option without barcode scanner, with zebra SE4100 scan engine, and with zebra premium SE4710 scanner 2D engine. Mobile computers equipped with the SE4710 scan engine will be the plus model in the family.
The 3rd consideration you need to decide is the memory option offered by TC21 and TC26, standard model comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB Flash, you can properly select the higher end model of 4GB RAM and 64 GB Flash memory for smoother response. Or cause you may option for an even lower end model which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash for cost saving purposes in the project. However, this is only available in certain countries in the world.
The other considerations you should consider is the battery size, standard model comes with 3100mAH battery which is enough to support standard operation with on demand scanner and data pushing back to server and long interval GPS coordinates enquiry (TC26).
