Why do you need a QR barcode for your product and how to implement a barcode system for your product packaging?

Introduction
The main focus to implement the 2D barcode is to allow traceability of the product based on the production batch and date. It will help the manufacturer to have their own simple and easy to use tracking system which allows them to track the distribution of the health supplement and the simple to use counterfeit system for all the supplements produced by them.

Production environment
Our customer produce estimate 10’000 small pages of supplement powder per day with each packaging containing around 25g of muscle gain powder which allows the user to consume it directly with any hot or cold drink. Every pack of 25g will pack into a small box of carton packaging of 24 packs per box. A unit 2D QR barcode is assigned to each box of muscle gain powder for the purpose of allowing their customers to have clear and transparent information about the distribution of the muscle powder, who is the distributor, who is the dealer/reseller as well as when is the production date of the product.

How to start to implement this traceability solution for the packaging?
This is simple to implement production traceability. Our customer just invested in the production barcode traceability solution offered by Autotrack. With 1 computer plus 1 label printer, the customer now just presses a button to print out the label at the packaging station in their production factory. However, 1 of the most important prerequisites is that the production site must be connected to the internet in order to allow the packaging information to be transferred to the tracking server in order for the distributor, reseller and end user to access.

What you need to invest?
Subscription to Autotrack only for your production traceability purpose
1 unit of label printer
1 computer with minimum windows xp operating system
1 internet connection.

How to scan the barcode?
The whole process can be done with a customer's existing smart mobile phone with camera ready. For Malaysia only distribution, as long as your mobile phone is able to use MySejahtera Application, the same mobile phone can be used to do the 2D QRcode reading.
