For highly secure ID cards such as driver's licenses, national ID cards and voter registration cards, Polycarbonate is a strategic choice to ensure strength and durability.
UNICHROMA™ is a UcYMCK color ribbon, formulated to produce sharp, bright images and clear text on Polycarbonate cards. It is a dry coating, supplied on a thin PET carrier ribbon and can be used in standard direct-to-card printers, using a normal thermal print head.
When used together, the UNICHROMA ™ ribbon and the Evolis SECURION card printer, designed to personalize and durably protect highly secure badges, provide an effective, economical solution ensuring high quality printing versus more expensive equipment technologies.
