Epson receipt printer upgrade from generation 5 (TM-T88V) to generation 6 (TM-T88VI), what can you get from the new version compared with the old?

After the depreciated TM-T88V 5th generation of Epson receipt printer, now the more powerful TM-T88VI 6th generation printer is ready to serve you. The 6th generation T88 printer, same as its 5th generation, comes with a built-in USB Type A connector for printing directly from the computer. It now adds an additional build in USB Type B interface and built in ethernet interface ready which is no longer as user selectable compared with TM-T88V. At the same time, it remains the user Interface Board (UIB) to allow customers to select either serial or parallel interface. You may select the part number C31CE94171 with default serial port or C31CE94173 with default parallel card.



In terms of printing speed, TM-T88VI now improves from its previous generation printer from 300 mm/sec to 350 mm/sec and epson claim that the image printing speed is the same as text printing speed. Try it out yourself on this improvement processing speed by epson.

On the 6th generation TM-T88 printer, Epson has improved its cutter reliability from 2 million cut to 3 million cut, this is the big jump in terms of cutter quality. This allows customers to have better return of investment when they upgrade their TM-T88 series printer from its previous TM-T88 series printer.

On generation 6 TM-T88 series printers, Epson also introduced new optional accessories to his customer, now customers can order additional accessories like wireless lan card, customer display unit and external buzzer able to be integrated with the TM-T88VI series printer for better end user experience.
