How to apply GS1 Global Location Number, EAN13 barcode if your factory in Malaysia?
In order to apply EAN 13 barcode for your product to sell in to super market in Malaysia or worldwide, below are the preparation for you to do.
1.Make sure the number of product you want to apply for the barcode. Every item or SKU required 1 EAN 13 barcode. Every barcode number cost RM18-RM24 (cost on year 2014) with minimum bundle of 10 barcode.
2.Every number has to pay for annual subscription fee of same amount as above every year.
3.Contact Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) under its GS1 Malaysia services and activities.
4.Remember to prepare below document:
a.Business Registration Certificate/Certificate of Incorporation
b.Latest Form 49
c.Latest Annual Returns.
d.GSI Global Location Numbers Application Form -Listing of Locations (F-OM 1/12-4).
e.Cheque/Bank draft
