To upgrade or downgrade the zebra ZT230 printhead to different dpi, make sure you are certified by the zebra before you perform the upgrade or downgrade. Any damage on the printer will void your printer warranty.
In order to upgrade ZT230 printer from 203 dpi, you need to have 3 basic item from zebra, 1st is the ZT230 printer with 203dpi, 2nd is the 300dpi printhead P1037974-011 and 3rd is the TPH converter kit P1037974-005.

After Upgrade you will get a ZT230 printer 300dpi and 1 extra ZT230 203 dpi printhead P1037974-010. One of the most important actions you need to take care is make sure you wear the anti static wristband when you perform this action.
In order to downgrade ZT230 printer from 300 dpi, you need to have 2 basic item from zebra, 1st is ZT230 300dpi printer, 2nd is the 203dpi printhead only.
