Backup tape tracking with 2D barcode or RFID technology makes it easy with Autotrack Asset Tracking solution. 5 simple steps to remind you where your backup tape is.

Backup tape missing is one of the critical issues that happen on the data backup company. The main reason for the backup tape missing is due to the un proper recording of the tape transfer by the tape courier man.
With the assistance of autotrack, this issue was solved. With the help of a barcode system and autotrack, the backup tapes administration can have a peace of mind on the tape they are taking care of. Below is the step for tracking the backup tape.
Step 1 - create a barcode sticker for the backup tape and stick it on the backup tape.
Step 2 - scan the tape barcode and transfer ID number
Step 3 - select the destination of the backup tape.
Step 4 - Once the backup tape reaches the desired location, the recipient just needs to scan the tape barcode to confirm the receiving of the backup take.
Step 5 - Locate the backup tape and scan the storage location of the backup tape.
